Everything on this web site comes from the scrapbooks and archives of Ferdie Deering.  These are the things that he wanted to save from his illustrious career in journalism, and we thought this web site would be a good way to share it with family rather than leaving it to decay in some old dusty boxes.  It is hoped that you will find insight and inspiration as you go through this interesting collection, and you will have a better understanding of who Ferdie Deering was and his influence on family, friends, and the world he worked in.
There is a lot of material on this site.  Hopefully, we have made it easy to navigate so you can find items of interest.  While there is quite a bit concerning agriculture, he also wrote on a wide variety of subjects in his editorials.  There are over 1,000 editorials located on The Daily Oklahoman page, which have been indexed by topic for easier selection.  Almost everyone should be able to find something to enjoy here. Interested in Oklahoma History?  Take a look at the Territorial Trails series he did for the 75th anniversary of statehood in 1982.   But be sure to explore all sections for interesting items.
