Arson is suspected in the Mason County Courthouse fire of February 4, 2021.  The suspect was apparently upset about a ruling in a family court case and it appears he may have also set fire to a nearby house as well.   Prior to the fire the courthouse had been cleared of furniture and records in preparation for a renovation project.  Efforts are underway to raise additional funds for the full restoration of the beloved building.
