COUNTY NAMED FOR: James Kerr, an Old Three Hundred colonist and an important figure in the Texas Revolution.
COUNTY SEATS: Two - Comfort and Kerrville.
COUNTY SEAT NAMED FOR: Same as county.
COURTHOUSES: Five - Kerrville in 1856; Comfort in 1861; Kerrville in 1876, 1886, and 1926.
STANDING: One - 1926 Beaux-Arts courthouse built of brick and concrete with additions.
