COUNTY SEAT NAMED FOR: Carthage, Mississippi.

COURTHOUSES: Five - 1848, 1850, 1853, 1885, 1953.

STANDING: One - 1953 Modern concrete and brick courthouse.

NOTE: The 1885 Courthouse was similar to the 1885 Shelby County Courthouse in Center, which is still standing.
