COUNTY SEAT NAMED FOR: Morton J. Smith, a prominent area rancher.

COURTHOUSES: One - 1926

STANDING: One - 1926 courthouse originally built as a Texas Renaissance design. The building was remodeled into a Modern style in a 1968 expansion project.
