The 47H-1, certificated in the spring of 1955, was a streamlined version of the widely used 46G utility helicopter.  It was intended for executive, air taxi or charter transport. It had increased speed and greater pilot and passenger amenities, such as soundproofing and more legroom, made possible by a larger cabin. A deluxe cabin interior was available as an option. This model was not especially successful and few were built.
