Originally Used as the Osage Nation Council House

The Osage Nation built this Tribal Council House in 1894, and the bell tower was used to call councilmen to meetings.  Oil and grazing lease transactions as well as other fiscal determinations were made in this structure. 

When Oklahoma became a state in 1907, it was sold to the City of Pawhuska and has been used as the City Hall since that time. 

The building was placed on Oklahoma's National Register of Historical Places in 1976
