The HH-3A is a combat search and rescue helicopter that was used by the U.S. Navy.  Twelve SH-3A's were converted to the HH-3A configuration.  Modifications included self-sealing fuel tanks, machine guns and armor.  The Sea King was significantly useful for medical evacuations and disaster relief efforts throughout its service life.
